LC Foundation / Leadership Bible Institute in discussion with EMI Bible University -- Establishment of New Masters of Theology Program

Whittier, CA

Dr. Laurella Meyer, (President) EMI Bible University, (Pictured right) is presently confering with Dr. Ralph Pacheco, (President) Leadership Bible Institute (LC Foundation, Inc.) to accept the position of Director of the New Masters of Theology program(s) at EMI Bible University.

A joint venture agreement is in the offering. It is being proposed that the Leadership Bible Institute serve as the School of Leadership & Theology within the University (Conceptually like; Talbot School of Theology is at BIOLA University). The new Masters of Theology centerpiece in the curriculum would be the Leadership development course content. Creating a new Masters of Theology - Strategic Leadership & Pastoral Theology (Major).

Discussions have been informally held over the past 2 months. There is a scheduled meeting with the EMI Bible University leadership with Dr. Pacheco to review a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the 2 entites which outlines the internal business relationship that will exist between both institutions.

" I am optimistic about the new relationship that has been proposed between EMI Bible University and the Leadership Bible Institute... EMIBU has a long history of educational excellence going back over 40 years. I am honored to be asked by President Laurella Meyer to step in and restructure the implementation of the EMIBU Masters of Theology Program. My vision is to help make the Masters program once of the finest offered in southern California." says Dr. Pacheco.

Dr. Pacheco states, "I have shared with the EMIBU family that they are the best kept secret in southern California. Here we have a Fully Accredited Christian University right here in sothern California that offers a rigorous and challenging educational experience at a fraction of the costs of other Christian based universities. Anything I can do to enhance their program will be a wonderful opportunity."

Dr. Pacheco was invited to be a plenary speaker at EMIBU's 2011 graduation ceremony
last June. He assisted in presenting 2 honorary doctorate degrees to 2 distinguished Christian ministers. He has since been invited to address the EMIBU Faculty in early September in preparation for their new school year, and recently conducted Chapel for the EMIBU students on two separate occasions in the new academic year that has recently started.

It has been widely announced among faculty and students that Dr. Pacheco has been asked to come aboard at EMIBU to head the newly reconfigured Masters Program. The response has been extremely positive from both Faculty leadership and students alike.
